Paige's First Birthday

I know it's somewhat silly to throw a baby a birthday party, but hey, I'm a little silly! No, but really, it was mostly an excuse for Jeff and I to have our family and close friends over and see their little kids and talk to other adults! We're so happy that people actually came and we know that even though Paige is young now, she'll really appreciate everyone who came!

We took it pretty simple, with a food table and small decorations with a Pandora station playing in the background. But it seemed like everyone (except Paige) had a great time! Unfortunately, Paige was teething hardcore and was sick, so she was super cranky and ended up needing a nap about halfway through the party. Oops! She was pretty testy with opening presents (I get that, I'd rather just have them than have to open them!) and lost it when she saw the Tickle Monster book kit my sister got for her! Haha apparently she was scared of it, but she loves it now!

Thanks everyone who came and celebrated with us! We're so lucky to have this sweet little girl in our lives... and especially lucky that we actually survived the first year with only a couple gray hairs ;)
